Hi,
There are no Swiss schools on your list of exchange sites. Is it possible for a student to propose a school that is not on your list and might they become a future exchange site?
Thanks!

Hi R.H.
A student can propose a period of study abroad at an instiution, even if it is not on the list of exchange schools. A student should begin researching schools by talking with the staff at the International Exchange Office as they can make country specific recommendaitons based on their past expeirence. They can also help you to determine if a school you find on your own is considered academically acceptable in order for credit to transfer back to USM.
For a school abroad to beomce a USM Exchange Partner, the process must be initiated by a USM Fauclty member and includes a long peroid of internal review to deteremine if the instuitions are academically compatable.
Hope that helps.

I like the site www.studyabroad.com for researching possible study abroad sites.
